I'm Laura
I hold a degree in Psychology, with specialized training in perinatal mental health completed through a postgraduate program at the University of Barcelona and at the Perinatal Mental Health Institute, a pioneering institution in perinatal training in Spain. I also hold a diploma in Social Work, which complements my background and provides me with a comprehensive, integrative perspective in supporting and working with families.
Two paths, one vocation
Social work and psychology share the same goal: improving people's wellbeing, especially during times of difficulty, vulnerability, or life transitions. My approach to support comes from integrating both perspectives, understanding each person within their emotional, family, and social context.
Why I do what I do
For as long as I can remember, I've felt deeply connected to the world of emotions and listening. My decision to support mothers, fathers, and families during this profound stage of life came from becoming a mother myself. I'm a mum of three little ones, and it was through my own experience that I came to understand, from within, the emotional intensity, the constant process of transformation and adaptation, as well as the lights and shadows that run through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting.
How I provide support
I provide support by placing the emotional wellbeing of the mother, father, and baby at the centre, understanding that perinatal mental health is not experienced in isolation, but within a family system that also needs care. An early and preventive approach can have a profound and lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of the whole family.
What you'll find here
I offer a safe, warm, and judgment-free space where you can express what you feel—the exhaustion, the loneliness, the fears, the ambivalence, the sadness, or the doubts—and feel heard and held. My work is based on scientific evidence, but also on a deep sensitivity towards the human experience, unique and unrepeatable in each motherhood, each fatherhood, and each family.
I firmly believe that no one should go through this stage alone.
My goal is to support you so that you can live this process with greater calm, understanding, and connection with yourself, your baby, and your surroundings.
